It is OK food but I don't think it's worthy of its cost. Firstly the place was packed, then I was told I was early to pickup my food when in reality they were just late getting it out. But that wasn't a big deal. Like I said it's good but I don't know where all the crazy high reviews are coming from. I mean $22 for a large pizza margarita should've had mozzarella di buffula on it! As well I've never seen deep fry garlic knots before either....
Great pizza, friendly staff. Highly recommend.
You know what would not make our pizza with the tomatoes in the oven even though they offer a pizza with tomatoes. Wanted to add them on cold after the pizza was done. Had a little bit of attitude when I suggested that every other pizza place gladly Cooks the tomatoes on the pizza. $54 and the dough was tough one or two pizzas as if it was stale or had been over cooked. Never had a bad experience before here but this left a bad taste in my mouth.
Pricey but delicious!
This was the absolute Best Pizzaria/ Italian restaurant in the Charleston area. The folks running/owners are Genuinely concerned about your Satisfaction in every area of your visit. The very best eggplant rolatini ever and we decided to try the sicilian meat lovers and honestly it was Amazing and noone could eat but one piece! The pizza was truly a delicious meal and normally we get traditional thin hand tossed & I didn't know they could outdo themselves. Salute'
Best Italian restaurant in mount pleasant. Incredible pizza and super hospitable crew. Ask for Eddie, he knows what's up.
Went to La Pizzeria for the first time this evening after living in the Charleston area for five years and have found my favorite Italian restaurant here. The staff was absolutely incredible, their lobster ravioli was one of the best dishes I have ever had in Charleston and the atmosphere was light and fun. I highly recommend this hidden gem to both locals and those visiting. You will find yourself right at home with friendly staff, great wine and tremendous food.
Great location. Kid friendly. Wonderful food. Eat in or take out!!
Smelled amazing, but it was incredibly cramped. We were a party of 2- waiter got us, took us back to the table, only to have someone else in the wait staff stop him and say no, that table is for 4+. We had to go back and wait so we stood looking at the menu, the server who stopped us from being seated indicated a table about to be vacated was being readied for us. As we waited, I saw staff place the wrong food down in front of 2 people seated, then shook her head and snatched them off the table without any apology. I watched the first server wipe half of our table with a rag, then dust off salt WITH his hand! He then put our setting down and placed the menus on top of our plates. Seriously? About 30 seconds after we were seated yet a third server came and told us other people had been waiting longer and told us we had to give up our table again. No thanks- no matter how good the food might be, the horrendous service was enough for us to leave.
I had a wonderful time at this place. We enjoyed the excellent environment and the food. The staff were super attentive. I am content we ultimately managed to visit this restaurant.
Awesome place to eat! The Calzone was delicious! Great service! Very recommend!!
First of all, the food is amazing. Unfortunately it's not always about the food. I can handle the fact that you are charged for water and a small salad does not come with a $25 pasta dish and the bread wouldn't fill up a baby. What I can't handle is being charged 75 cents for an extra ramiken of marinara sauce sauce after ordering the mozzarella sticks. That's tacky and unnecessary. It's about the little things that can leave a bad taste in your mouth.
I loved this place! The food was amazing, the staff was great, service was good. Loved the olive oil! Can't wait to go back!
Food and service EXCELLENT! We will definitely visit there again!
Some of the best pizza in Charleston and the best pizza in Mount Pleasant. My wife and I love La Pizzeria and have been coming here for years. Absolutely recommended for Italian in Mt Pleasant
Best Italian around... taste like it was just made fresh!!!
We we’re visiting patriot point for scout camp and wanted to goNearby to eat something and landed up at this place and we were surprised with this place. Wonderful and extra ordinary fresh pizza. Loved it!!!
By far the BEST Italian restaurant in the Low Country! My wife and I love Italian food and La Pizzeria is authentic Italian food. The regular menu is great and the Daily Specials are AWESOME!If you have to wait (they stay busy), the wait is more than worth it!Great Staff, Great Food, Great Place to Eat!
The food was exceptional. Had spaghetti and meatballs the sauce was outstanding, the meatballs we're mouth watering. Also had the Aloha pizza which was very good. When you go plan on having a wait. They do no take reservations. It's worth the wait.
Had the Caprese Mozzarella pizza last night with my wife and close neighbor friend . It was super.. This was the first time we had this pizza and it didn’t disappoint..We come here quite often . The service and the owner are always courteous..We’ll be back....Cheers...
Incredible food. Great service. We do take out every Friday night and makes life easy.
The' Best pizza around hands down.
Calamari was excellent Very good food. Pizza very tasty. Very nice Lady from Italy. She comes and talks to you at your table making sure you are satisfied with your dinner. You can't beat authenticity.
I got a Sicilian pizza from this place. Coming from NY where all types of pizza are readily available, it has been tough finding a Sicilian pizza. I usually get the "oh we don't have dough made for that yet". La Pizzeria had it ready and it was delicious! The service was amazing and as a self-professed pizza nerd, I really appreciate the use of authentic ingredients. This isn't the place you go for a NY slice, and it was kind of a small place, but if you want something authentic, great service, AND delicious, go to La Pizzeria.
The space is cozy and if you don't get there early enough for dinner you will have a wait for a table. The food is delicious! Pasta and pizza are the main focus with salads and appetizers as possible compliments to your meal. They have great wines and wonderful desserts. It's a little pricey but definitely worthwhile.
Excellent! Local hangout, in a strip mall, but don't pass up this place! Some of the best pizza I've had outside of Italy!
First of all the pizza was great! As my daughters noted, it was the perfect mix between sauce and toppings. But to top things off, they went way above and beyond with service. I left my phone there when I went to pick up pizza on a Saturday night and did not realize it until 11:30. They were going to be closed until Tuesday afternoon which would have put me without my phone for 3 days. I called and they were cleaning up but they offered to stay until I could get there and told me to be careful and not to rush. They did not know this, but I am going through cancer treatment and have a lot of doctors appointments to confirm and research calls to make this week and would have been lost without my phone. Very grateful for that little extra kindness that has made such a big difference.
One of the better pizza places in area. We have been a few times and it’s always busy
Cozy little Italian getaway! Fresh ingredients and the crust was amazing. Great place 👍🏻
It was my friends birthday so we took her to a new pizza place. I asked the waitress if she could sing happy birthday and she said she would also get a cake for us. Everything was great until I got the bill and realized they not only did they charged us for water ($1 each) but also charged us for the slice of cake the waitress gave us for my friends birthday. I didn't know what to do since I am only a teenager and I didn't want to make a scene on my friends birthday so I just paid the bill and left. I was really disappointed with that we were charged for things we were not made aware of prior too. I really don't understand why not even at Halls downtown they make you pay for water but at this pizza place they decide to charge you for water without telling you.
Professional service is the outstanding feature of this business. On each visit (with a toddler) they serve my daughter a perfect slice of cheese pizza sliced into tiny bits within minutes after sitting down so my wife and I have some time to order and eat. There is a welcoming feeling from the staff. It helps that all the food I've had is excellent from the pizzas to the pillowy gnocchi.
This is our favorite pizza in the area, and by far also our favorite restaurant in Mt Pleasant! We always enjoy our meals there, and the desserts are to die for. Bianco pizza is amazing and our go-to, but everything we've ever had has been great. Caesar salad is always fresh and green, and the dressing nails it. Great selection of wines too. Grab a bottle and a pie and enjoy.
We have been looking for good authentic Italian food in Mount Pleasant and a few Saturdays ago around 5:00pm, came to find La Pizzeria. We walked in with our 16 month granddaughter and were seated almost immediately. One of the owners, Laura, came over to our table and seeing our Lyla, picked her up out of the highchair and carried her around introducing her to all the staff. Naturally, Lyla loved it and wouldn’t let Laura put her down. The food and service were excellent in this little gem of a trattoria. We’ve been back many times and it’s consistently delicious. If you are looking for a good food experience, we highly recommendLa Pizzeria!! Just be sure to get there early, or else the line will be out the door!
Just simply outstanding in every way. Fast service from the nicest staff, authentic food that's prepared well, fabulous wine, and lively atmosphere that feels perfectly cozy.
Don't be fooled with the name, it's not just pizza. The pasta is excellent, the service great! We were pleasantly surprised by this place.
This is the place for lovely, authentic Italian food, especially the thin-crust pizzas. Everything is perfection, the quality and presentation of the food, the decor, the music. The owner and the staff are very friendly, accommodating, professional. Prices are quite reasonable. And we often purchase tins of olive oil that come from the family olive grove in Italy. This place is a real treasure. We wish it wasn't an 8-hour drive from where we live.
Pizza and authentic Italian cuisine. Great Italian family owned restaurant. The Seafood spaghetti is excellent.
Not only does La Pizzeria have amazing and authentic Italian food, but the ambiance really makes you want to enjoy real Italian food.
Excellent food and service! We had a short wait during peak time for dinner but it was worth it. Great selection of wines and desserts to compliment authentic Italian fare. Pastas and flour for pizza dough are from Italy.
One of the best 🍕 places favorite of locals. True...went there the ambience is typical of Italian pizzeria, service is great and the taste authentic.
Food, value and service was good overall. They have a very homey and cozy ambiance. Right when you walk in you are greeted by the dessert menu. Guess who saved room for dessert? Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about menu and made suggestions. They do serve you bread and oil.Calimari was very crispy and flavorful. The thin crust was great, comparable to what I'm used to getting in Brooklyn. They even had a cheeseless spicy pizza (picante) which was actually spicy. No extra pepper flakes or hot oil needed (yes, they have not oil per request)Our group devoured their food and couldn't complain. Veal was not bad. Portion sizes are either just right or on the smaller end, depending on the person. Chocolate mouse was very rich and delicious. One thing that surprised me was that the charge for every bottle of water you get. I drink tons of water and we started with only one standard bottle to share among our table of 5.
This is without doubt the best, most authentic pizza I have ever had outside of Italy. The atmosphere is perfect; I literally felt like I had been transported to a different location when I walked through the door. It will almost always be crowded, but that's a good sign. The pizza is delicious as are the many desserts. I really don't have anything bad to say, and I can no wait to go back.
This is a great little family place with good Italian food. We had a Caesar salad and the lasagna. Both were very good. The wine list was reasonably priced. The service was helpful and knowledgeable.
Excellent service, clean, friendly staff and the first place in Mt Pleasant that I've found that the food really reminds me of traditional Italian. Will be back and offer further reviews.
Not bad, but the food didn't justify the long wait.
